It's closing in, and faster than you think
    Hello fellow superheros,

I come with quick news of the Ghost of your Basement album, the news of it being done on this coming Sunday. Yes...Sunday. After working on it tonight, recording the last of the vocals hopefully tonight, and letting the guys preview it before I make copies, it will be done on Sunday. The final product will be five dollars and will come with your very own Ghost of your Basement sticker. Comment or e-mail me so I'll make your's right away! I'm not working at all this weekend so I will have plenty of time to burn copies and get a lot of shit done.

As of now is a good time for some shows. Jo, Roy, anyone...anyone have suggestions? We'll get something going.

But now, it's back to the Bat Cave to fight the evil of the world and to spread chaos across the land.

It's about damn time....(digging my motivaton out of the ground)
Hello to all whom are interested,

It's me again and I'm back with news of the album. I will be meeting the somewhat deadline that I had set for myself for getting it done. I found new software that works better than...than... than Kerry's presidential candidacy campaign. In other words, it's amazing. The cases for the CD's are done and awaiting the soon to be done music. The only things holding me back now are three vocal tracks that I have do re-do (cuz I can't sing) and I have a damn cold. Oh well, soon everything will be over. It will be here soon, trust me.

To show how Hardcore I am, I will be working on the album bright and early on my day off tomorrow, that's right, on Thanksgiving. I am that devoted to the fans, umm, where ever they are...

Also, stickers are in and lookin' sweet. We'll have them to sell with the album.

Happy Thanksgiving to all, and to all a good eating.

Eleven down, One to go, and many to sell
Hello people of the internet world.

I am back and back with news. We are one song away from having the album done. And tonight is the night that we complete it. It's very exciting indeed. Falling Out is the last one, we could have done it last week by dumbass Bryan (not really) forgot the guitar pedal. I have already done the album booklet and case so all I need to do is run off copies, and burn some CD's once we get the music transfered to wav files. It looks as though the CD's will be going for four dollars. Maybe three if the transferring and burning goes okay. We'll see.

I recently sat down after taking a much needed time out from everything and thought about what is going on...just in general in my life. Come to find out, it is the exact way that I aways hoped it wouldn't be...on a fuckin' schedule. As of the current moment, I find myself at LCC Monday and Wednesday from 8-6, and work at shitty Menards every other day. Normally that means 9-5:30ish time. And after that, seeing Kim at MSU during the evenings, and that is probably the closest to down time that I have. After not going to class for a day and sitting home watching TV at eleven o' clock in the morning felt weird and out of place. After getting the interview for the state job position things liked up and still do. Maybe this will means I'll have weekends to relax and do something for myself. Only time will tell...if time can find time in my schedule.

Oh well, CD's will be out soon followed by much needed shows.

    Pleasant day to all.

Just chillin' wanting it to end...
Hello my friends among the living and the dead,

Tonight recording again. Hoping that tonight is the last night. It is looking like the CD should debut the first of December. Some copies might be done before then, but the bulk of them will be done the first day of December.

Right now I'm chillin' in Marty's dorm and playing cool tony hawk on ps2. Today school just didn't seem interesting enough to stay, so I just came home and pissed away the afternoon. 'Til now, I haven't had any energy today. Tomorrow I have an interview at a State office in E. Lansing. Three days a week and $11.70 an hour. Plus, no weekend work. I'll be making the same amount of money that I am at Menards working three days instead of five plus no weekend work ever again. PLUS, state benefits. Halla.

Marty and I are leaving now to rock. Peace to you, peace to me, and every living soul.

    Until next chat...

The day of ghouls and goblins is over.....MORE RECORDING!!
    Hello everyone.
I hope all is well in the world, and not too many people with needles and poison apples from last night. Halloween was splendid. Kim and I dressed up and put on the best of dead people make-up. Then, we went out to lunch, saw the movie "SAW" (GO SEE IT!! IT'S CRAZY), and went to the mall, made carmel apples, trick-or-treated. All in full make-up and crazy flowing blood all down the front of us. The funny thing was, no one at Applebee's said anything. I know that if I was waiting on someone with black eyes, white face, and blood from their chin to their stomach, I would consider saying something. Fuckin dicks.

Recording tonight. All should go well. I ordered the stickers today, so they should be coming soon. I'm very excited about having actual merch. plus we need shows! If anyone has ideas email me: Atomic01@juno.com I really want to plan more shows and rock out like crazy cool bands do.

The whole button thing should be underway soon also. I'm getting a machine for that and making band buttons like a madman. We can sell a sticker and button for a wonderful package deal of One U.S. Dollar! What a bargain! All the more reason to have shows, to have cool stuff for our beloved fans.

P.S. See "Saw" don't read the shitty reviews, they are lying!

Pleasant day to all and goodbye Halloween, for we will meet again...

    Drowning in boredom
    Good day fellow fiends,

At this moment, I'm bored as hell. I'm sitting in the LCC computer lab wasting away the hours until my next class. I could go somewhere, but I still have to finish a paper that is due at 2:10pm. I'm pretty much done with it but whatever.

At the moment I am also designing and ordering stickers from "sticker junkie.com". I think they will be sweet. Nothing to fancy, just "Ghost Of Your Basement"....yeah,...plain. But I'm a cheap bastard.

Recording tomorrow night. It's starting to feel quite professional after spending so much time getting nothing done. I believe that we have finished "Post-it Notes" and "Down With the Elite". We are half way done with "Pair Of Wings" and "Foolish Of the Freaks". That means only...11 1/2 more songs to go. The tracks are turning out great though. We are all very excited.

I have decided that the Graphic Design major is out the window. I'm going to pursue a major in audio recording a.k.a, opening my own studio some years down the road. I'm hoping of transferring to MSU next year, and I think that I'll whip up some crazy shit there. I plan on taking some music theory and lots of tech classes. Recordings great, so why not do it for a living. It will cost a shitload to start the business in X-amount of years, but who the hell cares, I'll do it.

Good luck with life everyone. 'Til our next rendezvous...

More than later, but later than never, but.....never later?
What the fuck does that mean!? I'm just as clueless.

So the suicide machines show.. the fuckin' kickass suicide machines show!! It was good. More like sweet. The Blind Pig is the greatest place in the world, or at least in Ann Arbor. The atmosphere rocked, the music rocked, and the band is the coolest people I've ever met. If there's ever another okay-band playing there, it's worth going to.

    Hot off the press!!
Recording today! More and more and more. We are having the best of times recording the recording time with my video camera. After we are all done, maybe we'll release that too. It will have to be a crazy BOXset because we've filmed pretty much everything. The drums/bass shit is going well. I've decided to include one more song on the CD that we haven't finished yet. I think that it will bring a nice rounded feeling to all of the work.

    Also!!
I bought the special edition of "Jackie Brown" at Target for $10!! Go buy it, it's worth every cent.

If anyone wants to have a show post it on comments! I'm down with playing like crazy. Halloween is soon around the corner and I'm oh so excited.

Black as day with masses gather
On feathered wings of jack 'o lanterns
Tears of flames on wicker sheets
Of gangle grass under coffin feet...

A little taste of what's in my head as I write.

    Whats up playa's
Hey Kids, its the other guitar playing member of this band. I was just wondering, of the 4 or 5 people that have seen this, should I keep updating the real webiste, or just use this? It seems like a lot less work, so if there's not overwhelming numbers of people that still look at the poorly made if brightly colored website, we're going to fuck it and stick with lj style.
    Peace

Time, is never time at all. You can never ever leave without leaving a piece of youth... -Smashing Pumpkins (Tonight Tonight)

I thought I'd give you all that little piece of lyrical bliss to start off. I do have to say, I'm liking this whole LJ thing. Thanks to all that have added me and commented on my first entry. And thanks Marty for the help.

Tonight!!! I'm very excited to be seeing the Suicide Machines at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor tonight. It should be wonderful. I haven't seen them in awhile and am happy that it's such a small show. I'll share all the great happenings next time.

In other news, tomorrow is back to recording. We are at our second attempt to lay down some smokin' tracks and are excited none the less. I think tomorrow Bryan and I will be figuring out some tech shit and record lots of bass and drums (sorry Marty) but I have plans for recording this weekend with you. I have come to the realization that...wow...we can record separately! What a dumbshit I am.

I've been contemplating more shows. Hoping everything goes well with recording, we can take some of that time playing too. If anyone has a flash of insight of where, when, how, tell me please. I'd like to set up some stuff in the area and farther away. Hopefully some others (Unwanted Reflections, etc.) will come along for the ride.

Wow! Suicide Machines tonight! Recording Tomorrow! A Rollercoaster of fun. Kimpossible and I were going to go to Cedar Point saturday for the Halloween thing, but I think we will be staying here and doing nothing (sigh) Oh well, maybe Uncle Johns Cider Mill is in order, that place is definitely under-rated.
Well, Good morning, and if I don't see you.. Good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight...

Hello everyone out there in internet land. This is Colt, and I am your personal narrator throughout the writings of the new journal for my band "Ghost Of Your Basement".
